Building and maintaining relationships takes work. This is a simple truth, but one with profound
implications. Recently St Luke’s has taken steps to reach out and build new relationships with our
local community. For example, we’ve been running a very successful children’s program that has
now grown to the point that we are starting a pre‐teen group as well, all free of charge. We also
recently started a community market that gives us opportunities to meet and engage with people
in the neighbourhood.
We recognize that at times we have not been the best at maintaining relationships and have lost
contact with people who have once called St. Luke's home. This is why we are writing this letter to
you. We’re interested in how you are, what is happening in your life, and to see if there is a desire
to build community by including St. Luke’s in your spiritual life.
It is our sincere desire to reconnect and as such we would like to invite you to a
homecoming/reunion service on Sunday October 14th at 11:00am. On this day we will celebrate
the Feast day of St Luke!
Please consider coming to this service. We would love to reconnect with you.
If you have a conflict or are unable to make it on the 14th but would like special prayers offered
during the service please send your prayer requests to the St Luke’s office via email at
